Lightbulb Review: Creative Displays Strobe Lights

Creative Displays have two kinds of strobe lights. They are LED and XENON.

The xenon lights are an "I" type of bulb with everything silicone sealed in a durable base and lens. CDI, says they are 6 watts each and flashes 130 times per minute.

The LED type uses 1 watt each and have 10 leds per light.

These strobes come in C7's or C9's and four different colors.

Pro's: very durable, only one failure in one season, light weight, & good price.
Con's: flash is a little slower than CLS strobes but still good & LED strobes are very dim looking from the side of the light.

    Overall experience, GREAT!

I just bought 10 of each from CDI, LED and Xenon. The Xenon bulbs are much better as far as looks than the LED. Probably wont even use the LEDs much unless I decide to mix them up a little.

A good choice. John will tell you both have their purposes, but as an overall strobe, CDI's xenon strobes are clearly leaps and bounds (at their cost point) over the competition. Darryl's strobes suck. Darryl's strobes are leaps and bounds better than poking yourself in the eye with a sharp stick or whacking your head on a hardwood floor (I have recent experience in that department).

Not necessay. Anytime a vendor offers quality products, and does exactually what he promises, is very responsive if something appears to have gone amiss, then I don't mind singing out loud how happy I am with the vendor.

I have had the pleasure of meeting Paul on several occasions, and been buying from him since 2007, over 700 strings of LEDs and other products

I have received a few strings that were DOA (in a sealed case from the mfg - not Paul's fault), a phone call or an email and they were promptly replaced by Paul, no questions asked.

Paul has beena wonderful vendor to deal with. I missed the sale by a short period of time Friday due to getting tied up on a call with the FD, of course you would know when I went to get on the computer to buy something on a time frame something like this would happen, I wrote Paul and he offered to sale it to me at the same price as the sale, I could not tell you anyone who would be that responsive and cooperative with there customers. To me he is Grade A if more people would take his mentality when dealing with customers!

Truce is over. The other guys couldn't withstand the level of insult that John and I inflict on each other. After John and Scott's boyish banter last night, I started to jump Scott too, but Scott would scream like a girl if i hit him with a virtual 2x4 like I do John. I just got the virtual circular saw out and cut my virtual 2x4 into a virtual 2x2 just for Scott--kind of like launching insults from the women's tee. I've got it all set to go Wile E. Coyote style.

You in NO WAY compare to Wile E. Coyote. At least when he falls he doesn't do the sissy thing and go to the HOSPITAL and moan and groan that his head hurts, Wile is TOUGH!

Just got in and saw this post.

You did NOT cause such a ruckus, Al did, because he is here on this earth and even worse also on this forum. He just doesn't know any better.

Now, about Acme. Of course they make Christmas stuff. I did a quick glance through their catalog and 3 items were readily apparent: The Little Giant Snow Cloud introduced in 1979 and used in the episode "Freeze Frame", in 1962 they premiered the Instant Icicle Maker and it was featured in "Zoom at the Top". But, as shown below at about 1:54 in, is their 1960 Christmas Package Machine, it makes small neat packages. When I have more time, I'll take a closer look through their catalog, and see what else they have. My catalog is kinda old though, guess I need to send them an email and request the current catalog.
