    Lightbulb Huge Coro Flag

So instead of wasting time of making a large flag, I just bought one from Holiday Coro.

This thing is a monster and I'm in the process of painting it.

    Here's the link to it.

I like that. It has a nice effect. But boy it has a bunch of holes in it. What keeps it from breaking apart?

William, I built mind 3 years ago and believe me , it is a lot of work. Plus mind is LARGER !! A few here have seen it. Total light count was 3,850 , 24 x 48 . It is control by 6 channels, which I wanted a waving action and works great and is a favorite with a lot of people.

Looks good William. I have been on that site looking at those before.

I have two 3 x 5 flags, one is a net light using minis, (Hobby Lobby $10 about 3 years ago), and the other is the very first wireflame I ever made, also 3 x 5 feet, using C9s. A power hog!

Be sure and take pics when you have it finished.

I'm thinking about using LED's with it. Might have to wait until Paul offers the 20% off.

Good choice You might have to enlarge the holes just a wee bit for the M6 bulbs to fit. They are just a tiny bit bigger then the minis, It will look super with the M6 LEDs

David from Holiday Coro (gotta say it... one of our very active Lone Star Holidays members) does some great work through True CNC and Holiday Coro. I was able to help with the prototype for the LSH Logo sign. There's a lot of other work on www.holidaycoro.com

It does take awhile to put lights in all those holes. And I've got the smaller one. I can't imagine what the large size one takes...

I did it over 2-3 afternoons/evenings. And I took breaks because I had to find more light strings, and split up a few 100 count strings into 50s for the smaller red/white stripes.

After my surgery and recovery, I'll try to pull the flag out of my front window to take some pictures....

New location - new display. Looking forward to 2015 season!

I love that big Coro flag and I had it on my list for this year ..But it had to join the list of things I passed by for 2010. I had to keep my growth to a manageable 80 new channels. So perhaps next year.

I love seeing all you guys with the flags and patriotic items in your displays. For a long time I thought I was the only one doing it (but my view of the Christmas world was vastly narrow then) .. I already have FOUR flags that are only one channel each. They are large 4 foot by 6 foot. I just acquired a giant 8 foot star for the top center of my roof this year (slightly above and between the middle two flags)/... so a monster multi-channel Coro flag is very high on the list for 2011, standing upright on the roof peak above the 8 foot star .. !

Awesome William. But yours looks much bigger than the one you showed in the picture and video. What are the specs of yours, how many channels and what is your channel layout .. ?
