    Default Enclosures needed

    Hi everyone,

I am in need of a couple of watertight enclosures boxes for my LOR boards.

I suppose I can make something out of wood and paint the heck out of em. Use gasket tape for the cover.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Vic

Here's the company I use for enclosures: http://www.yourbroadbandstore.com/category.php?cat=E

    They usually ship from Raleigh.

Vic, I like you a lot. If you put your electronics into a wooden box you stand a good chance of destroying the electronics and worse yet electrocuting yourself or someone else. The broadbandstore is an excellent place to buy cheap raintight boxes.

A "raintight" or NEMA 3R enclosure is raintight not water proof. You MUST orient it properly. Properly usually means upright and not flat with respect to the ground. Don't buy NEMA 4 enclosures UNLESS YOU HAVE YARD SPRINKLERS. They are too expensive for Christmas lights.
