Do any of the presales offer the retro bulbs ? Have you also posted on DIYC ?

I only have blue and probably less than 30.

Creative Displays is the best place to buy them new. Paul Sessel is the owner and he is a member here in CC. His prices are among the best right now also. He uses only highest quality stuff and he actually checks it all out before dumping them on his customers. I bought hundreds of full wave rectified C7 replacement bulbs here. After 5 years I have not seen a single bulb die. He will replace stuff for at least a year .. it might be two years. I have also purchased C9 replacement bulbs elsewhere and they were crap. The seller claimed they were dimmable and they weren't. I would stick with Paul..

Here's the link. You have to page down a ways to see the retro bulbs.

Are those retrofit bulbs made so you can plug an LED in place of what used to be incandescent bulbs?

Yes I have looked at these but they only come in boxes of 25. We need 59 of each color. That would give me about 15 extra of each that i don't have a use for...

I think Scott @scottmcl said he had extra C9's that he might want to sell.

Yes that is exactly what these are for.

If you remember seeing the giant candy cane in our display it was custom built with C9 stringers and incandescent bulbs. It would probably use more power than our entire display! We want to use LED's in it so we can light it up.
