I just have a radio and outdoor speakers. Your house is far from the road so I would park the car with the windows down and crank the radio volume.

I have 2 brand new strings that have already lost half the lights and I thought that was bad. You lost an entire transmitter, ouch.

We have a speaker out in the front yard, and using an inexpensive FM transmitter that works for a block in either direction of our place.
This is our 3rd Christmas season using Light O Rama controllers. We're finally at 64 channels, and between 13 & 15000 lights.
Here's what we have going on this year.

Vary nice, and I wish my audio and video were half as good as what yours is.
    What camera are you using?
And that Alabama at the end of your video is my favorite Christmas album.

Doing both works great. I use an FM radio next to my Camera to pick up the broadcast audio (without any delay). Then I use that audio track in your video editing software to match in the original audio track. Most video editing software offer that feature. My bigger problem is finding time to do the mixing ... too many hobbies !

Yes, by far the best results are with dubbing the sound in later.

The way I did it last year was to still use the outdoor sound when i was recording it, but then I just used that audio as the "reference track" to sync the dubbed version perfectly.
The better software actually will do this automatically (like Final Cut).

Plus, when doing multi-angle cuts, its really the only way to get good sound (especially if some of the cuts are from the drone (which doesnt record audio).
