Default Can I make the whole show interactive?

    Greetings,

I live in the country and only have a few neighbors. I really think it's a waste of electric to flash my lights all night long for 2 cars.
My solution was to install a push button(wired to an input trigger) at the street to start the show and run all nine sequences one time and then the show stop.
I'm having problems with this setup though. I put all my sequences under the start up tab and it works perfect, except for the fact that after the show(all 9 songs play fine) I need to run to the computer and click "disable, then enable, to reload the show for the next car. I checked my show schedualer to be sure it didn't time out.

Is there a way around this?

Can the whole show(all 9 sequences) be set up as interacive, run through one time, then stop, then automatically be ready for the next car to come by ?

I tried the jukebox option under the interactive tab and the show triggered fine, but only the first song in the show played (my voiceover intro) then the show stopped. I tried the soundboard option too with no results.

Please understand, We do not believe in watse. I'm not a tree hugger, but I'm not a fool either. We live in times when most people could care less about our resources. We have taught all our children to take care of our planet and this massive light show has made me a hypocrite. Dad is eating crow here..lol.

Can anyone help? Just tell me if it can't be done and i will look for other options. Been chasing this rabbit for 2 days now and getting discouraged.

I posted this question on PC and LOR too. Hope I find a solution.

    Thanks and Merry Christmas...

    Vic... here's an idea.

Make an animation sequence somewhere around 2 minutes with minimal lights on.

Place it in the musical section of the show editor. This sequence will loop over and over until a trigger is pressed.

Then, take your songs and place them in the interactive section the way you want them.

Schedule the show for your normal times.... I think it just may work.

Will, Hmmm...I see your thinking here. It might just work and it makes sense. Would I use the Jukebox feature or the Soundboard under the interactive tab?

Ok, thats a no go. when trigger is pushed it plays the first sequence and stops. If I could load a my folder of all sequeces into the interactive tab i think it would play them all, but i don't think you can do this.

It seems as though you can only play one song under the interactive tab, no matter if you use the jukebox, soundboard or majic toy feature.

    There in lies the problem...

Going back to my original set up (all sequences loaded into the startup tab, after all 9 songs play, run to computer, click disable, then enable) which works the way i want it to except for the running to the computer after the show(all 9 sequences) ends. I have a small radio in the living room by my easy chair and i just listen for the show to start when a car comes by and pushes the button, when the music stops(sequence 9 ends) is when i have to get up and reset (disable/enable show). then its ready for the next car if there is one.

Is it possible to enter a windows comand in my last show sequence(song #9) to do the disabling and enabling? Or add a short sequence (1 min) with the sole purpose to use a windows command to disable/enable the show.

What about "cleanup" sequences or loading something under the "shut down" tab?

Here's my idea. Take a audio mixing program and make your entire set of songs/show into one long mp3/ lor sequence. Then when the button is pushed it WILL play the whole thing because the whole show is only one connected song/sequence.

    Larry,

That's a fantastic idea! I know it would work. I would make a 25 minute sequence and just copy and paste all sequences into it. It may get tricky with the timing (starting the next sequence at the precise time), but it is doable. I can do the audio. I'm gonna try it.

I'll let you know how it turns out.

    thanks,
    Vic

It's working! Keeping my fingers crossed. Got the audio track finished (25 min, 2 seconds long) and the first 2 sequenced songs copied and pasted into it. I'm remaining optimistic. Pasting the sequences in the exact timing spot is tricky, but doable...

This just posted on the LOR site:

"Im just reading the manual. here it is i knew i saw it. in lor v2.6.0 it sounds to me in the show options you now have the option to "show starts on triggered startup which could be your big red button. so just upgrade to 2.6.0 and your good"

    Can anyone verify this?

    I may be upgrading tonight...

    Ok, Larry gets the cookie!

It took a bit of copying and pasting, but the show works just the way I wanted it to.

    Thanks Larry,
