I think that I will buy Light Show Pro (LSP) due to me having a ton or RGB nodes coming on line this year. Furthermore, I like compensating the folks that drive innovation which benefits us all.

Having used both LSP and LOR software, I like both, but feels there are major cons to both. For example, a feature that we have BEGGED David to implement to LSP was 1/2 speed playback in the sequencer. This was a request from about 2 years ago, at least!! Still not there. Another con.. I've been trying to import LOR sequences into LSP a few times, and I end up losing my sequence altogether. I'm sure it's a learning curve thing, but still.. an issue. Also, the show app - called Scheduler... I did LOTS of fighting with it on my first year. Lots of lockups. A known bug that I'm hoping David has gotten corrected. It's not all bad new from me though. A major PRO I like is that in LSP's visualizer, it's MUCH easier to draw your display onto your house, versus pixelated boxes in LOR. There are actually things like snowflakes, pumpkins, etc. I do like the RGB nodes feature in LSP, although I'm not into those, yet, I'm sure I will be in the future.
LOR: MUCH easier to use in terms of putting in intervals due to the slower playback settings. I can get my marks pretty much on the spot. But again... the visualizer is lacking IMO. I am EXTREMELY happy that LOR is supporting DMX now.. I've been able to get my Lynx gear working with it successfully, so far!
Just my $.0009 (adjusted for inflation).
