    William,

    Nice job.

16 or 32 channels? One or two strings of lights in each cane? I have a string of red and a string of clear on separate channels in each of my canes.

TIP: if you haven't already, or for any one else considering building one of these, if the cap at the curved end has a hole, PLUG it, rain will seep in. Also to seal the ends at the bottom of the canes, (the wire end), I bought some 7/8" rubber stoppers at Ace Hdwe, drilled a small hole for the wires to pass through, then sealed with some rubber cement, also to keep the canes from filling with rain water.

I'm building another set of red, and two sets of green now.

Here is a short clip from one of my sequences. The patterns you can do with these is almost unlimited. Its easy to see when the clear, red or both strings of lights turn on.

John... I'm using 16 channels and one string of lights.

Your's are far more advanced than mine.

I'm building a green one in a few days.

Here's video of a few patterns:

That's really looking great William !

You can always add the additional light strings when you are ready for 32 channels.

I like how you used the wire cloth to mount them on. I didn't think of that. Real neat!

No, In the hardware section of my local Ace, the drawers with the loose screws and nuts, they had a drawer with rubber stoppers in it, sort of like you might see on a test tube.

John, I found some rubber stoppers but they were $1.25 each.

Looking for an alternative, I choose chair ends. See image below.

They were .98 for a four pack.
