Very nice! Even though some people here are tired of W.I.W. I think the viewing public can't get enough of it.

Well, as you guys know I threw this years display up on "a wing and a prayer" last minute kind of thing. We are still pleased with it and it seems to be a hit.
Next year will be more thought out as I research what looks best. Plus I have a brand new original idea for spinning led strips, that promise to awe, that I'm playing with.

    Thanks for thumbs up,

    Vic

Vic your spirit is an inspiration for us all. It isn't now or never will be how much stuff that you can put in your yard. It is how you use what you have. You did a wonderful job. I really like the star, and I like your attitude too. Thank you for the video. Next year I will attend your display in person. If you have any CCRs I promise to steal them too.

Well, there it is; the smack talk.

I guess I'm officially part of the club now, because other loving members here have begun to threaten to steal my lights. To all the newbies here...you know your in the circle of trust when you wake up Christmas morning and half your lights are gone. I get such a warm fuzzy feeling inside just thinking about it.

Al, I'm all ready one up on ya, because I sold all those sequences you hooked me up with on Ebat. Oh my, the profits are rolling in and the demands for new material may have me hacking into your computer systems by weeks end, I reckon I can get into your bank account too, so that I can make a large donation to CC to help with the costs of maintaining our forum.

I have learned sooo much since becoming a part of Christmas Carolina.
    Trully I'm a better person...

Looks great Vic. I can't wait to see what you do with those LED sticks. I remember when we had show n tell with them at the Starbucks. I saw a little action with them in the background.

    Denny,

Wait til I have 10 of em spinning. If I can spin them straight enough and fast enough they should give off a circular look when lit.

I'm still in the design stage, One problem is, I don't think the phone cord swivels will hold up, nor will they prevent wobbling.

The servo motors Al suggested will bring in a whole new dimention in that when I stop them from spinning they will all stop in the same postion (horizontal) making a solid line (light bar) across the front of our house, giving them a whole new look.

I'm going to be starting on a proto type after the holidays. I'm hoping Al will let me borrow his servo dog for testing, hint, hint...

    Vic

PS Congrats on your display, You have done a fine job.

Video looks good Carl. What type of camera are you using?

We got tired of trying to get a good video of our display as it covers over 2 acres so we hired Video Works of North Carolina to make a video. They were here 2 hours and then it took them 2 hours of editing but the video looks good. It is on a DVD.
