Default CCR in a musical seqience...

I have 4 videos to show the results of programming the CCR for a musical animation....

    Vimeo Videos

But first let me make a short story long.... I had built the frame for a large 8 ft high Marty fan... Well after putting the strings of lights on the first half, I then tried to move it to start the second half... Crack pop and it fell into a heap on the ground.... This was last Wednesday..... My featured effect was in a pile on the ground.... All the fault of the wielder (me). What was I to do???

I decided I had to go with the CCR as the "Featured Act". But was the CCR ready to be the star act??? Wrapping the CCR on a pole was ok... But I have a large space on the second floor on my house I need to fill.... I could do M C letters... No maybe a circle maybe???

Well from the pile of mess a STAR was born... Up it came like a shooting star, it was born.... The "Mel Star" lol....

I still need to alter the width of the blades of the star.... Each point is 10 pixels long.... Times 5 points in a star = 50....

All I have done on these videos is simply pasted my Marty fan sequence repeatedly till each R G B range is full....

So far the twinkle effect randomly flash with random colors... And looks way cool... For the first time in a long time the words "Far out" came to mind....

    Thanks for the kind remarks...

Well I have 2/3rds of my display up and running... The CCR Star is so bright it is almost a yard wash... lol It is so pretty.... I can't wait to get the tweeks done... I am going to be able to use segments of the star to make other weird shapes to...

I went from giving up on the CCR for this year to bam it is the center piece of my display....

Very pretty ! Please post some hardware details and daylight pictures so we can see how you assembled it. How large did the star end up ?

since the ccr is about 16' long that leaves 3.2 feet for each point making the star around 3' tall

Post some pics so we can see how you mounted the CCR. Is it on its edge or laying flat against something?

    Mel,

Great job. I really didn't think the CCR's would look so awesome. In the one video, Wizards, for a split second there i thought i saw candy canes.

Very good, can't wait for the next meet to get some hands on training with these.

Here is a link on how to make a star (wish I had seen this video Saturday). Instead of the rope light I purchased I think 3/4 in vinyl tubing. After mounting the tubing I tie wrapped the CCR to the vynal tubing at each cut point. Be careful with the corners. The tip LED will point to the sides...
