Wow ! This web is a fantastic display item !!
Sponge-guy here ..
Can you show some daylight pics of the web, or give a good description of how you made it ? And also include the size of the thing, the number of bulbs it took (approx). And the number of channels ! Are those LEDs ?
Thanks,
Denny Cole

Sorry it's the only one I got of the house... all the rest are nothing but tombstones.
The web is all LED as the rest of the display with the exception of the orange pain in the &^%$ ^%$ icicles.
Web is a total of 36 Channels.
I will post something later about the web.... need to get back to the fight with my videos![]()
And another torture:
and before anyone says, yes, I know the audio track is off...![]()
Sponge Guy again. Do you have a posting about the giant talking pumpkin ? What is that ?
I also love the windmill effects with the spider web on SWEET DREAMS ! You dimming looks really nice with the LED lights. Did you do anything special such as using a shunt bulb or the CrazyLightLady style load resistors .. or possibly buy the special full wave LED bulbs ? Sorry for all the questions. There is simply no single source for RELIABLE LED light information ..
Thanks,
Denny Cole

And the last one that I have a video of:
Denny I hear ya about the sources. but this place is a good place to start and finish
Lights are 1/2 wave from LED Holiday Lighting. Nothing special at all has been done. Although I am going to try something for x-mas because in order to fade the lights at all I had to fade them down to 0 from 100%. I couldnt tell that much of a difference when I lowered them down to say 50 or even 40%.
Pumpkin is just 2,200 orange lights thrown together seperated into 7 channels.
Craig,
Sweet Dreams was a treat. I like the music. My heathen friends would adore it. Who is the band?
Al
Craig,
You and J did an Excellent job on that display.

I really wish I could take a better video at night, but if you look where the pumpkins are on the fence you can see them in "sync" with the singing. Didn't have time to get the larger pumpkin synced. I spent about 3 hours on this one and another 3 hours on Time Warp from RHPS. Can't wait for next Halloween with the changes we made
Denny,
The Web. 19 FT x 19 FT
I laid out 8 stakes in my back yard. Used 0.25 in nylon braid that you can find at Lowes.
Stretched and tied off the 4 main runs.
From there I marked off about 18 in from the center and out on each main run.
I then used the same type or rope and started at my marks and used a clove hitch to attach to the main runs and worked my way around.
After that I took the lights and just cabled tied them to the each section that was created.
The two outter rings used 70 count strings and the two inner took 35 count strings.
I placed three extra eye screws in the house and used pulleys to help get it up and take it down. FUN!!
I know its sort of a quick run through, if you have any other questions just ask.
The pumpkin, btw, each light is tied off to a mesh that we found at Lowes. 2 inch spacing all the way around.

Crag ! I very much appreciated the details on creating your web. The videos are fantastic too .. and WOW on the pumpkin. That' a read work of art. I was thinking you were going to tell me it was some kind of projector. I have all my lights oriented towards the front of my house for now. So I am looking for simple solutions to "cover" the sides. I am considering one of those projectors that puts images that look like they are floating down the house .. But since I am not seeing any of you guys using them, I am curious if they are junk or not ..
Thanks,
Denny Cole
