I currently have a Sony Alpha DSLR, I am looking to upgrade to something that has video as well. Anyone have any recommendations on a DSLR that also does video?

I purchased a Sony Alpha 2 Christmas ago and I was realy surprised for what I payed for it that it would not do videos when cameras that were much cheaper would do videos!

Yeah that was my thought as well. The A100 was pricey at the time, I'm hoping to recoup some $ for it when I go to upgrade, but I doubt it. I see the new Alphas do have video. I wonder how it compares to the Canons (3D and 5D)

Are you going to stay with Sony or consider a change of format? Also, how much are you willing to spend?

I am waiting for thr Canon 5D Mark III to come out.

Well, I have quite a bit invested in the Sony lens etc. However. I would say I am not married to it.

Do they have a list price for the Mark III yet?

No. It is still a big secret. I have hopes it will come in at the current 5D price.
