    Talking Hello from Chelsea Alabama

Hey everyone! I have been a static display for years until last year when I added a few LOR boxes to my lights and was introduced it Xlights! This year we are taking our display to a new level adding a bunch of pixels. Its been a big learning curve for sure, but all the guys on the Wednesday night call and the forums have been great! Look forward to getting to know y'all.

Nice to hear from you Ricky. A lot of us have been on a stead stream leaving LOR for xLights. Some kept their LOR controllers and made up the DMX adapter cables. LOR controllers are still the best you can buy. Some use lower cost alternatives if you don't need the power handling. Renard is a popular alternative, particularly for anyone running Vixen software. I prefer the Lynx Express (version 5.0 or 5.1). Dovetails beautifully with xLights. You can't go wrong with Sandevices or Falcon pixel controllers. Falcon being the very best technology at a slightly higher investment. However, with creative wiring and power injection you can do twice as much with a Falcon. Good luck !
