    You have a nice looking display already. Are the lights incandescent or led?
    What you already have could be converted to an animated display without too much work. A couple of controllers could run what you have... Then you can add on some rgb/pixel stuff if you want to go that way or continue adding props and lights.

    about 85 percent is incandescent. i have just started converting to led lights. thanks for the compliment. i am going to do rgb this year and expand as i go.

    @Mikeg. Check out the poles in the beginning of his post. Looks like coroplast wrapped in a circle. You could ask him what he wrapped them around to keep the shape. The top looks like a wooden disk.
