    Hello everyone!

I wanted to take a moment and introduce myself. My husband and I live in Mooresville, NC and truly enjoy Christmas all year long. Like most of you I am sure, we think about, plan and work on our display as much as possible throughout the year. Our 'pride and joy' over the past five years has been our ski slope with skiing polar bears, snowboarding penguins and lots of other characters. Last year we ventured into the world of LOR for the first time with two controllers and this year we are adding another five to that for our newest creation that will be unveiled Thanksgiving night!

We were able to attend re-PLUS in Louisville last month and really enjoyed the chance to meet other people that share our passion for Christmas so hopefully we will get to meet some of you that are local as the years go by.

I am sure I am going to be on the LOR forums a lot looking for help and tips in programming for this year as 112 channels seems like a very large task! I hope to meet some great friends on here and get to come and see your homes throughout the season!

    All the best,
    Lisa & Scott Kennedy

    Welcome aboard....

I see you have gotten the addiction too... It is worst than crack... lol

Some of the finest people around are LOR junkies... But the ones in North Carolina are a little better than in most places... lol

    Hi Lisa and Scott,

Welcome to CC and animated lighting. Many of us, including myself, use LOR equipment and other electronics. However, this really isn't a LOR forum but more so a forum for Carolinians who decorate. We really enjoy diversity of methods. Regardless, welcome to our forum.

I do use the word "us" loosely as William still has not found a way for us to help pay for "our" forum.

    Al

Well, Hi neighbor. I too live in Mooresville. I think most everyone here is LOR except me. I use all DIY equipment.

Welcome to the Carolina's Christmas lighting enthusiast forum, your addiction begans here. Its a nice place to talk about Christmas stuff and people not roll their eyes at you, like my neighbors do..........

    Welcome to CC.

As my signature says, I'm in Kernersville, NC, between Greensboro and Winston-Salem.

Unlike most folks, I don't use LOR. I've been using Animated Lighting (AL) gear for quite some time, and this year ventured out into the DIY stuff. I won a Lynx Express as a door prize at the recent Carolina Mini, and have since purchased lots more kits. I'm using the new LightShow Pro software, which talks to all kinds of gear - LOR, AL, and the DIY hardware.

We have folks that do all kinds of things with their display.

Looks like there will be lots of places to go tour this season.

New location - new display. Looking forward to 2015 season!
