    Default Hello from Fayetteville

I'm Grady and send you all greetings from the west side of Fayetteville. My wife saw a preprogramed four channel controller at our son's house and had to have one for her lights. Thankfully, I couldn't find one even online. I ordered the starter package from LOR and was immediately amazed at the difference. My Honey Do list is now to expand and create a respectable display for next year.
I'm interested in the workshops and can do some fabrications. Though this project was started for my wife's pleasure, I'm going to enjoy my new Hobby.

    Regards to all

Welcome aboard Grady. Keep an eye on the TASL meetings. Those will be in the Raleigh area and you can learn a lot about enhancing your display. We continue to share ideas and best practices to make things simple. If you are technical, a handful of us also join forces to build some of our own effects and gadgets. There are also several very technical members o f this site who are in distant locations (some as far as Texas) . ..

I will also give a couple LOR software classes this year. Here's an outline from last year's course which includes some enhancements thanks to Jack Stevens.

Welcome Grady. We were just in Fayetteville today been to all of the Ollies stores in North Carolina except for the one in Elizabeth City buying up the LED's at 75% off. We ate at Joe's Crab Shack in Fayetteville. We drove over 500 miles today.
Went to all of the Ollies around Charlotte last week and one in Virginia, another 500 miles.

Duke, wish I'd known you were coming. Sears had some LED's for 75% off. The GE 100 light strings were colored bulbs or they would have been out when I left. Thanks for the welcome and take care driving.

We may have to check out the Sears store in Winston Salem. Thanks for the tip.
