    Default Weber spiral tree

The Weber spiral tree was discussed on PC. I sorted through the nonsense and came up with the video. It seems that the mega tree has supports up on the tree where the standard megatree strand is connected to each support then twisted into place making the strand spiral to the ground and not come straight down. I found it interesting. This is where I draw the line on my time.

    Denny,

The guy used 12 of the LOR Cosmic Color Ribbons for the rays from the star. Almost anything could be used at the top, a star, snowflake, wreath, etc.

Now I can weld up a wireframe star real easy. The hard part is 2 grand or so for 10 more CCRs, and the software that Brian developed to make the effects easier to use.

    From his post on LOR

Being a programmer by profession I started developing sequencing software designed just for a grid of CCRs. There are some very good sequence editors out there but I am not aware of one made just for a grid of CCRs.

My design principle is to never directly edit the standard .lms file. Instead, I have a meta file which is the source file for the effects. The effects can be exported as an .lms file and then they are playable by the standard Light-O-Rama sequence editor.

I liked the idea of the spiral tree as well....... wait a minute, I'm agreeing with Al.

Never mind I think its just a passing fad.

Hey John can those CCR thingys work on DMX alone?
And on the 8th day, God created Christmas lights.

Dave, agreeing with Al? Everybody hold on, the world is going to come to an end!!!!

Yes Dave, the CCR can be DMX controlled as well as using the regular LOR protocol

John, I saw that somewhere. Good lord. I firmly believe that we are on the edge of an RGB overwhelming of lights. I thought the downturn of the Chinese and US economy would drive it, but it isn't happening at the pace that I thought one year ago. We shall see. Regardless, the Super Star is a blatant irresponsibility of CCRs.

Dang Dave, let me start with how much I like your T-shirt. That is creative. This is the second and final time that I need to warn you to get asbestos shorts.

My dogs used your avatar as a target in the snow.

    Dave,

I forgot to comment on your shirt. But since Al has already seen it, I bet if you had a bunch made and bring them to our convention, I KNOW that everyone there (maybe except Walter, since he rides with Al) would buy one or two. Heck, I would probably buy a dozen myself!

That's a good idea John, I can get the ones with the new Christmas Carolina logo on the front and Al on the back. No wait, Al on the front and the logo on the back...... I think if I make one of the shirts pink we can get Walter on board as well.

If everyone can list their shirt sizes and how many they want I can get right on it. They will be ready for the next Triangle meeting, John I can ship for you as well.
And on the 8th day, God created Christmas lights.
