Has any pricing been discussed? Is there more than just this page available to see?

Just like the XMAS LED floods discussed on PC, the product looks great, but more details and availability would be helpful to plan for a 2009 display.

Mark, I think they will be going at $249 each.

    Here's a brochure on them: http://lightorama.com/Documents/CR150D.pdf

$249 is not bad for a 150 channel arch light show. For those with lots of arches it may get really expensive. I thought at first it was going to rival Galaxia but it is different totally.

Found the info: The price for the strip with the power supply and 150 channel controller is $249.00. It will be pre-sold during the summer sale for $229.00. This is an expensive item to make. At Digikey, an electronic components supplier, the 500 quantity price for a comparable LED is over $1 and there are 150 of them!

    Per thread: http://lightorama.mywowbb.com/forum76/19213-1.html

Mark, the key phrase is ......discussed on PC. I never pay any attention to all that bable over there. Most of it is wrong.

LOR posted the brochure and other information back on June 23. During the LOR Summer Sale that starts tomorrow, the price is reduced to $229.00

That seems to be a good price for RGB water resistant flex ribbon. I googled RGB water resistant ribbon and got a price of about $12-$15 per foot without any controller interfacing. Which means it would price out at about $200 without the interface. I'm not sure I could build it for that.

I was wondering if anyone locally purchased one?

I'd like to see it in action before I made a decision. I have been tinkering with LEDS and have 320 bucks in a similar setup, so I have to say if it compares to my set up, it's a great price.

I would still like to see one first.

I have 2 on order. Won't have them in time for Al's gathering this Saturday though, sorry.

If I'm ever allowed back in North Carolina, I'll bring one for show and tell.

    We pad-locked the access gate.

    Anyway... back on topic.

I would love to have one but what can I do with it on the new property?

Lay them on the ground, on the side of the road, have them sequencing from one end to the other, then repeating. Helps the cars know to keep moving, follow the lights. Just like the approach lights at an airport help direct the pilot onto the runway when landing at night.

(yeah, I heard the gate from Tenn to NC was closed and locked)
