They are very small, same size as regular 5mm led bulbs...
I did find another company selling them and they have a video

Funny video .. it shows what they look like all bunched together. I would still be curious to see what they look like when strung out in the line? If anyone buys a string, please let us know. I might post a question back to the sellers to see of the straight line video is available.

I have never used strobes and know nothing about them. I know when used correctly (like Charlie's house this year), they look good. I am not sure I like the way those look in that video, but it could be the way they were used. In my opinion it is all in the execution for strobes. I think strobes are like floods in that when done correctly you don't directly "see" them but they add a layer to the effect or lights like a painting. That video they were their own thing which may not be a bad thing but not what I like. This could be all personal preference.
I shoot mine off inside my megatree, spread around randomly. It's been difficult to keep a dozen or so working! I would lose 3 to 5 zenon type every year. Solid states last longer, but they all flash at the same time if you don't take care to preload them. Preloading is where you put a C9 bulb on the strong along with the strobes. Then play around with dimming to find the highest percentage where they don't fire. Then turn on to that that percentage a few seconds before you plan to fire them (at 100%). They look a bit more random that way.

kidcole, pre-loading sounds so complicated... My strobes were sources from 2 vendors this year. WOW Lights and 1000bulbs. Both Xenon bulbs. WOW Lights flash 3-4 times/sec. 1000bulbs about 1/sec. I preferred the WOW Lights bulbs, albeit a bit more expensive, but mixing the 2 on a string helps with randomness.
Thanks for the tip on moisture. Tear-down is this weekend and I'll test them before packup.
Mixing is a great idea too. And since you didn't mention losing any, the quality must be a lot better these days. We were buying them when they first came out around 2009. Very poorly made then. I once had 30 and now down to about 8. I may look into buying more .. unless anyone wants top part with some ??

Did you guys see the guy on GCLF post on Facebook that he used a lot of these 5mm ones this year. It was the guy with the cutoff sleeves and lights tattooed on his arm. They looked good in his design.

I think these would look nice if they were reversed and doubled. To me they look too much like a chase. But by putting two strings together and folding one back over the other, the effect would be chasing in two directions. They are only about 11 ft long, so 2 for every 11 feet. Could be pretty cool if laid out right. Certainly nothing like them.

I bought some. It will be fun to figure out how to use them. I am not sure I like the "chase" look, but perhaps wrapping them on a stick or other idea might make them fun. Shipping says I should have them before TASL. I'll bring em for demo.
