Default Forecast for tear down weekend

Looks sunny and 60 around Raleigh for the first. Sunday looks warm, but rainy. If you're able to dig yourself out of the snow, be sure to plan accordingly for taking everything down on Sunday!

I'm thinking of bringing everything I can into the basement on Saturday and then packing it on Sunday if it's dried enough by then. Bethlehem star will have to be next week sometime.

Thanks for reminding me! Gotta plan for our first anniversary, first, THEN plan for tear-down..

Calling for showers here Sat and Sun. Believe I will start taking down tomorrow in the back yard and work my way forward to the front.

Walter told me to tell you he wanted his star back clean and polished. And he said now buster. Believe me you don't want to make Walter mad. He becomes a crazy man when he gets mad.

Unless he has a couple 32 foot ladders, I wish him luck getting it down! Possession is 9/10ths the law, right?

    Scott -

I think that star would be a great Valentines Day display element. Also St. Patrick's Day, Memorial Day, etc......all the way around the calendar to Christmas 2011.

Walter can borrow my extension ladder, but it's only a 24 foot ladder when extended. Won't do him a bit of good there, but he's welcome to borrow it.

Personally, I'm waiting on my tear-down until at least the second weekend of January; maybe longer, depending on weather and if that water line holds and doesn't break underneath a good portion of it. The slow leaks from it have the yard really soggy right now; the snow/raid makes it worse. But they're slow leaks, and my plumber of choice is taking a Christmas vacation.

    Scott,

Order some of the C9 Retro bulbs from CDI for that star, (5 LEDs in each bulb), and hide it. Tell Walter that John came over from Tennessee and snatched it!

Send him to Scott's house first, then after Scott beats him up real good, I'll take over for the final KO.

After the tour last night, I think Scott McL will have more of an issue with Scott L than with Walter getting the star. It sounded like the star was going to disappear within a few hours.

I'll tell you one thing, Don't lend me that star, you will never see it again. I could kick myself for not getting in on the workshop to build one last summer. I can still see myself standing there with my thumb up my butt, sucking on a bottle of water. Blaaaaahhhhh!

Well I got every thing down and out of the yard today. Pack up and set to the side, just need to store it in the proper place tomorrow.
