Default CTB16D Channels 1 to 8 do not work

Does any one know why channels 1 to 8 do not work but 9 to 16 are ok. Fuses are ok, all wiring is ok. I measured 169 ohms from hot to neutral on 9 to 16 side and open on the 1 to 8 side.

I have swapped the fuses, and made the following measurements:

    All are Vac:

    Good Bad

    Neutral to q0 through q7 20V, neutral to q8 through q15 120V.
    Neutral to U19.1 20V U11.1 20V
    Neutral to u19.2 20V 20V
    .3 8v 9V
    4 27V 13V
    5 9V 8V
    6 12V 21V

    Neutral to R20 through R27 28V, neutral to R7 through R14 15V

Neutral to heat sink 40V 20V

    Neutral to A1 28V 15V
    A2 120V 20V
    Gate 28V 15V

    Thanks for your help!!

Did you burn up a trace? Depending on the meter that you are using it could be picking up leakage.

I don't have a controller anywhere near me. I will download the kit assembly instructions and see if I can figure out the components that you listed. My gut reaction is that you fried a trace--likely a neutral trace.

I had trouble getting the information I needed. So, I am assuming that u19 is the opto. Pins 4 and 6 voltages are significant. The resistance of neutral and vac says the transformer has opened or some component on the primary side is open. There could be enough parasitic voltages present around the transformer to trick the high input resistance of your meter. Ohm out the path from the connectors to the primary of the transformer. If I remember correctly there is a jumper wire in the path for 220 volt use. That jumper may be missing. Let us know what you find.

Thanks for the reply Al. I will check those areas. I pulled the controller out of the enclosure but I have not removed the heat sinks.

Sorry for the format of my original post, I copeid it from Outlook and it was ok there.
