?????? Close the Editor? The Sequence Editor uses Windows Media Player to play the show music. If Windows Media Player if tied up by the Sequence Editor then the other programs may not be able to access the music file, giving you the "Address in Use" error. Only one LOR program module can be running at a time. Each module is a standalone program (and that's good in my opinion, and the way all the other light control programs work to my knowledge)

Going to go out in a few to hook up the final controller. Then I'll shut down the editor and try to play the show. Can you drive over Ethernet cables without it causing a problem? Or do I have to route that one over the garage doors?
I would route the Cat5 over the garage doors, just to be safe. In fact, I always run my Cat5 through 3/4" PVC electrical conduit where it is on the ground so I don't even step on it. Just me.

    Scott,

Have you tried using the "Show on Demand" program (with all other LOR modules closed)? It's perfect for testing.

What kind of stupid file management system is that? When working with a file, you always open the original, create a copy, close the original and work from a backup. Then you allow the user to save to the original file and then close it again, always deferring current work to the copy. All behind the scenes so the user doesn't know what's going on. Why do you think all the Office programs create all those .tmp files all over your system? Why does it show you recovered files when you open it after a crash?

I expect to be banned from the LOR forum later tonight after I rip them a new one.

That set of errors was from show on demand and from the regular show scheduler.

Naw, they don't ban people over there, well, there was one person once, but that was the only one since 2007

Scott... I would open those sequences up and remap the audio file again then save.

Sometimes a sequence will lose its audio mapping for an unknown reason.

Talking Re: LOR: how to connect the 16PCs

Thanks for everyone's help. Appears that the problem is that I had the sequence editor open while running a show from that same machine.

I do have more work to do, but am "slapping" together a show so I can say I was up and running before Denny... (Then go help Denny on the roof the next chance I get...)

That will happen every time. Only one program can control the lights at any given time.

So John, I was correct. It couldn't find the controllers due to a sharing violation. I told you so, I told you so. And, I told you so. Pfffffffffffftttttttttt.
