    Interesting. That is AL gear in the "control boxes" I actually designed this show and helped maintain it the first year they put it up. Originally in Mt. Olive, NC. I heard the building was up for sale last year.

    Actually, you'd be surprised at what commercial displays are sold for....Folks have different expectations and are prepared to pay the price. Note that most of this display was done with aircraft cable running along side the building, since the building couldn't be drilled into. The megatree on the left was done with a collar on a flagpole and, again, aircraft cable to run the lights.

    In fact, the prices on that sheet are lower than what I know they paid for the gear, and don't include the programming/design time or time and materials for support.

    This show ran on a nightly basis from Thanksgiving to just before/after Christmas that first year. After working out the bugs, and getting them to remember how to plug the controller box in correctly, it ran by itself most of the time.
