I'm bringing a mini tree to work on and get further advice on how to complete. If anyone could bring a finished sample, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

I don't know about anyone else, but I think it went well.

Scott got construction critism on his mini tree, as well as some constructive critism. I ggot my mighty mini parts (tanks, Mark and Al) and Denny got some help with his.

All who came seemed to enjoy it.

Certainly! As stated there, I will be redoing my first tree. And when I plugged it in at the house real quick, there were issues with some of the bulbs, but I'll figure that out later...

The last of us wrapped up about 11:15 after great conversatons like how to get recycled telephone poles for a megatree...

A good time was had by all!

I enjoyed the meeting. I was tired and would have stayed longer if I had the energy. This type of meeting is designed for answering questions and socializing. Jack had Mighty Mini components at my house that I needed to get to him, and Jack suggested a coffee meeting. Viola, we have a TASL coffee meeting. Our formal meetings are more education oriented with presenters and more structure. The coffee meetings have proven to always be great fun.

Scott did wrap his first mini tree at the meeting. I think it went well. The Christmas display stuff always is harder to implement than it looks. I have a few elves that help me (especially Walter's help). Without them, my display would be much, much smaller.

Walter, any woman that could pole dance on a utility pole would definitely look more like a monkey. Not that looking like a monkey is a bad thing. Some people aspire to great heights looking like a monkey. Nancy Perlosi, for one, made it to The Speaker of the House.

It was fun seeing everyone and meeting a couple more people who have recently joined us. Thanks for organizing it Al. It was also nice to learn more about what everyone does with their lives and families, etc ..

I have agreed to take on the June TASL meeting. I will start a new post in a day or two, to get suggestions on topics for June. We'll make that meeting a bit more formal to get into specific details that you guys want to cover. Last night I heard that a beginner LOR S2 software course might be in order.
    Thanks,

If anyone wants a recycled telephone pole, I have one you can have just for coming and getting it. It's been laying down for a while, though; I'm not sure what condition it's in. Prior house owner used it as a propterly line marker.

I'm from the phone company; I'm here to help...uh, I can probably get a source of poles; I really do work for one of the local phone companies - the one that has changed names and corporate colors a number of times in the last couple of years. Red to Yellow/Bloack and now shades of green. 48 VDC controller there.

Anyone wanting to do a pole dance using one of those would end up looking like Nancy Pelosi. The idea just sounds painful to me!

    Jack,
Oh, my favorite phone company. They actually do serve Kernersville as the local phone company. Tried to hook up an ISDN line with the load couplers still on the line and took 3 techs to figure out how to fix it....several years ago.

I've had TWC for Internet for probably 5 years - went to Digital Phone and chucked Sprint/Embarq/CenturyTel several years ago.
    Mark

New location - new display. Looking forward to 2015 season!
