I might be able to attend the physical meeting. at this time I do plan to be there, but it nice to have the remote session as a backup.
My pi arrived yesterday, I am so looking forward to the hands on stuff.
Thanks to everyone involved for putting this together.

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
A tale of a fateful trip (one that may kick start a new revolution for Shotts lights)
That started from this tropic port (well sort of, Florence is only an hour from the coast)
Aboard this tiny ship. (ye ole trusty 2003 Volvo)

The mate was a mighty sailing man, ( huh?, better half hates the water)
The skipper brave and sure. ( always jumping into things head first)
Five passengers set sail that day ( there may be a few insects in the ye old Volvo)
For a three hour tour, a three hour tour. (yep, one way to Cary)

    Pi news!

The Pi 3 is at hand- with wifi and Bluetooth built in!

Raspberry Pi 3 Model B Board Features a 64-Bit ARM Processor, Adds WiFi and Bluetooth Connectivity

I'm sure availability will suck at launch- but I like where it's going!

I now have a Pi Zero but without the appropriate connectors for hdmi (on the way now) I can't really do anything with it. Plus there isn't an official FPP build for it yet so I'm in no rush.

I just validated - there is internet Connectivity at the clubhouse. While broadcasting the event, I will ask that people not connect from in the room so that we can get a decent quality signal through. Depends on how everything goes...

    looks good,
would like to explore running android on it, which it presently does do, but if going to 64 bit then would be nice to have more than 1 gb of ram.

    Related point:

I've had trouble connecting to my pi/bbb running FPP without using wifi. Connecting with wifi has always been effortless, but I think I'm missing some simple issue when I try to direct connect via a cat5 connection....

I can't get mine to connect on wifi at all with fpp, I know it works because with rasbian it has no problem.

Pi Hat now on sale at Crockett:

1st Pre-Sale has begun and will end at Midnight on February 29th!

On March 1st the February order will be sent to the manufacture for production, with the Chinese New Year Holiday and the orders the vendors are expected to get during the holiday the order is expected to ship from the manufacture to us mid May.

I had planned on doing 3 Pre-sales this year January, March and July, but with negotiations and vendor selection the January date slipped.

We are still running the March Pre-sale, that being said the orders placed on March 1st will be on the March Pre-sale and will run until midnight March 31st.

The March order is expected to ship to me from China mid June.
Third Pre-Sale for July (TBD) Stay tuned for more updates on this Pre-sale.

Please keep in mind we are still working on updating and adding items to the store. All items will be added and updated by the start of the pre-sale, these items will be denoted as “Pre-Sale”

***Shipping will be Invoiced Separately (At this time we Only Ship in the US)***

With Shipping being invoiced separately we will have the ability to combine multiple orders for shipping for 1) To save you on the shipping cost. 2) Allow you to make several purchases during the Pre-Sale without being hit all at once. Only exception to this is if you place a orders in February and orders in March these will be shipped separately.

    Visit Our Pre-Sale page here

The tech repub. article indicated that the out of stock situation shouldn't be as ongoing as it has been in the past. It's hard to keep up when you hope to sell between 1000-10000 and then you sell 8 million.

Default Falcon Pi Day - Join Us. Learn How Simple it can be **** Check Post 1 for Upd...

I could have bought one this morning but I really couldn't rationalize why I needed it when I have a Pi B, B+, and two zeros. I don't see me using more than two. A master running the pixels and a remote running 1 LOR controller.

Give it 3 months and you'll see in stock no problem.
