I got some pictures, and some videos. I'll post when I get the ones off my phone camera.

I've never seen Space Invaders and Asteroids on a mega tree before. I do NOT have good audio.

I had a great time visitnig all the displays. I got some really nice ideas for next year that I may or may not have stolen from a few of you. I have some pictures as well, but it may be a few days before I have time to get them uploaded anywhere.

I did notice one thing last night that I thought I would share with everyone. The younger crowd, notiably the last three houses, didn't have any blowmolds at all! Thought that was interesting and that I would point out.

    No blowmolds? How criminal!

Actually, I didn't put any out this year, and tend to keep mine to a minimum, simply because it is sometimes a hassle to get them to stay in place, etc... Now, Denny's idea of mounting is nice. I need to build a few of his lighting and mounting stands. I have 10-15 candles/lampposts that I have put out in the past, and they would look great with all those lights inside, or perhaps just some LED strip.

Thanks, all for the tour and fellowship!
    Mark

New location - new display. Looking forward to 2015 season!

Rob, the fireman from Cary who lives in Sanford and has the CCR's and 48 channels of LOR just left my house (daytime)

He wanted to know how I did my leaping arches, which I showed him...a lot of other things. He stayed about an hour asking questions. He said he bought a lot of LED lights from Big Lots - the Big Lots in Sanford just re-opened early December after being closed over a year due to tornado damage in 2011; many people don't know they've re-opened yet, and I bet Rob got a really good selection.

I told him I could show him how to make them look better; he looked panic stricken, thinking he bought bad lights. I told him no, but being from Big Lots, I knew they were half wave. I brought out that string of really badly flickering Big Lots blue LEDs, plugged them in, waved them around to exacerbate the flicker issue, then plugged them into a DC adapter and showed him the difference. He's going home with that adapter to play with his new LED lights.

I think we picked up a new member here. We may run out to his display tonight, or if raining like predicted, maybe tomorrow night.

Waving back. I hope you didn't get too cold. It was COLD last night; saw frost on much of the grass in the yards.

I'm not going to make people crawl through the first seven pages of this thread to find the pictures. I started a new thread.

I had a lot of fun on the tour last night. It was a nice turnout and the weather was nice and clear (but a little cold) .. It was great seeing all you guys. And very nice of Mark to drive up from Kernersville to join the tour.
    Thanks,

Storage. I barely have room for storing lights, much less a bunch of air inside of some blow molds. Besides, I'm lighting 5 houses with 108 channels. That's plenty for me!
