We were going to go out on Friday (eve of New Year's Eve) ourselves unless we heard otherwise.

I guess we've heard otherwise. Wednesday would be OK, even with having to work that day and the next.

Well maybe Friday is better for everyone? I thought maybe Wednesday since some folks might want to start tearing down after the tour.

Wednesday the 28th looks like a good one for me. I am not sure about Friday, but depending on the group and which systems we visit, we may need two nights anyhow ... I can help organize the tour now that things are settling down. We should try to get an early start ! Maybe in a couple years when the group grows, we can rent a bus !

I can't do Monday, Thursday, or Friday so would rather shoot for Tuesday/Wednesday for the tour dates. I know the world doesn't revolve around me, either so we can really do it whenever...

OK, proposal; start at 6:30 at Denny's house.

Denny, you know better than I where everyone is from there. For me, it's all east on US 64.......

Denny, would that be enough time for you to clear from work?

Please PM your addresses to me (and cell phone numbers). I need to start a directory of the locals so I don't have to keep asking. I assume we'll try to schedule the addresses of all the participants for Wednesday. I wish someone had one of those large vans with the rows of seats !

Also let me know when you could begin. We did find it difficult to get through all the houses last year. We planned a 6pm start which turned into about 6:15 by the time we got moving. That was shy I was thinking to start right about dark <5pm-ish> But we can be flexible if needed...

Denny - use the light finder from the home page. I agree with starting earlier - like 5:00 so we are at a house by 5:30 when it's dark enough to see the lights.

I also have a van that would hold 6 others and happy to use that. The family won't come as driving around to see lights is boring to them.

I am finally getting going on this. Had some distractions since last night. The lights come on in 10 mins .. I should have something to post by around 8pm. So far the tour is:

Rob Breault (no display but wants to join us)
Dariusz and I are only half mile apart in Cary
Scott Mclellan (far Northwest Cary out Highway 55)
    Mike Tedesco (Holly Springs)
(Tom D not joining us but we could stop by his house)
    (maybe also Scott Lorbacher)
    Roger (Angier)
    Jack and Charity (Pittsboro)

Scott McLellan left me a message and suggested that we meet in the Beaver Creek area. I like that one. So lets meet at 5:30 in the parking lot in front of the LOWES. It is in the shopping area near the intersection of Highway 55 and 64.

We have 8 of us in the tour and we can split up into two cars. I will park straight out from the front entrance of the main entrance of the LOWES, but a couple hundred feet away from the building. I will message each of you my cell phone number so we can communicate.

As for the tour itself, we have a couple people that are pretty far from the rest (Roger in Angier and Jack/Charity in Pittsboro). But if we stick to just visiting those who are in the tour (and not the extras), then we could possibly make it to each house.
    Thanks,
