Heading there now! I'll have room for 2 maybe 3 people as my oldest daughter is coming along.

Sorry I couldn't make it tonight. But thanks for stopping by my house! I'm going to go out this weekend and catch a couple of the displays I haven't had a chance to see yet this year. Everybody's done a great job. It looks like we have a strong group of synchronized lighters in the Triangle. Thanks to Denny, Al and others who keep this group together.

And thanks to TomD for coming home when you did to jump start my mini-van! Guess we shouldn't leave all the accessories and heat on, but not running, for 45 minutes while we stand outside and talk...

Thanks for organizing the trip, Denny! And thanks to Mike for the Hot Chocolate!

Sorry I had to miss the tour last night.. Family didn't get home in time, and then decided they wanted to go out to eat instead.

That can sure happen. Mel used his jumper cables on Deb's truck during the Halloween tour. The next tour I'll bring my battery powered jump starter. Running the lights while we talk gets to batteries.

Hopefully I can catch up with some of you this coming year. This was our first year running a show....I think it turned out pretty well, and of course I am hooked and have lots of ideas for the future!

Welcome Dan. I'm not sure where you are located but you are welcome to attend the TASL meetings that we have in Raleigh. We do all kinds of stuff like training, welding workshops for props, idea sharing, etc. Consider yourself invited.

    Dan,
Welcome. And if you're a little ways west of Raleigh, you can always join us in the Triad.

We don't have local meetings, but do plan to have some informal get-togethers during the year....
    Mark

New location - new display. Looking forward to 2015 season!

Them having meetings makes Denny and myself really happy. We really like the idea and want to help the High Point guys however we can.

Next season's tour needs to be earlier in the season. There were a few "fixes" discussed about the level of audio to drive a transmitter with, and something like that would have helped the individual displays involved.

Some short videos - none of these are complete songs, nor is the audio great. This is more to show some display highlights. I'll try to get them in the order we saw them, by CC user name. Denny, I have more for your display that Vimeo would not let me upload (I hit the daily maximum)

We should also consider doing multiple tours next season; there are too many displays to get to all of them in a single night, and none of us can just take a quick look at anyone else's display without asking "how did you do that?" and adding 15-20 minutes to each stop (long enough to discharge batteries!)

Oh man where do I start.

Thank you Jack for posting the videos. I was really sad that I missed the tour this year, but with your videos I got to share in the tour. Thank you.

Scott and Tom D, you guys are something else. I loved the integration into the neighbor's houses, and it was well work the effort. Excellent job to you both. Tom, I hope you're feeling better, and I'm really glad you put up your display.

Denny, I love the new star, it really is a centerpiece. The new blowmolds are great eye candy.

Mike T, dude you are amazing. I love what you did and for a beginner you astounded me. The snowflakes on the house are superb.

Dariusz, you put lights on those big ole columns, and it was fantastic. The columns are a centerpiece for your display. I'm going to have to build columns on my house now.

I am proud to be associated with TASL and see my personal goal coming true. You will be proud to know that some folks that I talked with here knew about us. I beamed like a new daddy. Attaboy to TASL and CC. We need national attention next year. I'm sure that doing a program on what is likely the largest concentration of animated Christmas lights in the world would be nice for TV and TASL. TASL rocks.

Hi guys. I haven't been online since the TASL Tour. It was great seeing everyone and I hope all of you make it to the TASL meetings and workshops this year. My thanks to Scott M, Rob B, Dariusz B, Jack & Charity S, and Mike T for joining the tour. And of course Tom D for coming home in time to pull out his jumper cables.

I have not shot any video yet. I could not find a time without cars. I figure I can shoot during some random times next week and hopefully keep cars out of the view (or at least mix them out by using other angles).

I've scheduled my "helper" group for January 8th to tear everything down.

I am thinking pixel strings and some Coro Flakes for 2012 ..
    Thanks,

    Denny Cole
