Hi Steve .. Welcome aboard. If you and Tom come together from Holly Springs to Trader Joes, I'm sure we can find space for you in the van. My son and I can double up for the Raleigh portion of the tour. Then when we get back in Cary for Dariusz' and my houses, some of you may want to grab your cars. Dariusz and I are very close to Trader Joes and then the last 3 houses are along highway 55 (TomD, ScottL, ScottMc) ... It would save you having to come all the way back from ScottMc's house to Trader Joes (at the end)...
    Thanks,

    Denny Cole

Al is in charge of the sequence since everyone is apparently PMing him about whose display they want to see and whose they don't. From his last post about the schedule in the other thread, I'm guessing it looks like the one below. At the same time, since Spear was removed per Denny, the times are somewhat irrelevant.

How does this sound? I built in a few slack minutes in the beginning.

I likely will not be joining you guys tonight. I am sorry because I have the flu. It is confirmed as I just came home from the doctor. I will meet you guys at my house, show off my display and answer any questions then say goodnight. I simply don't have the energy to be on the road tonight. Again, I am sorry but come see the display anyway.

    Al,

So sorry to hear that. Hope you feel better soon. I certainly don't want it so don't be offended if I shout from the car as we go by!

No problem. It isn't as contagious as people think. The doctor said for me not to touch anything which you will touch. I will keep my distance. At my house you must get out of your car. I don't have a transmitter connected. Denny can answer a lot of the questions as he and I worked together on several things. What we had this season, we will make available for our group this coming season. We will even be welding some of this stuff in the spring too.

BTW, please don't park in front of the house.

Agreed. Great tour last night. It was long, but well worth it. Lots of fun and lots of great displays! Will be doing a smaller repeat with the family tonight!

I really enjoyed seeing everyone last night... Something special about showing your display to a group with the same addiction... Kinda like a group therapy session... lol

I had a great time last night. I was so cool to check out everyone's display. I think I learned something from every display. It is very cool to meet with people who understand this fascination with lights and displays. I have to admit I was a little nervous having everyone at my display. I'm not used to people coming to my display who understand how this works and probably have way more answers than I have questions. Thanks for allowing me to be a part of this group. Looking forward to the next gathering.

Wonderful time last night. Every display had it's points of interest. Al, that santa that dances on your roof amazed me. I got to see Mel's display for the first time too, loved the flames and the CCR's were awesome. Denny, I don't know what to say about your show! It blew me away. I used to think blowmolds were to static for me until I saw yours. Austin, your mega tree was great. You did a great job. TomD had the best color show to me and ScottL really did an awesome job with the size of his yard. Darius did a nice job for the first year and I liked his choice of songs. ScottM IMOP had the coolest sequencing, simple and basic, songs have a very catchy beat and his FM signal was pumping out fo shizzle!

All in all, each display had something for me to learn from.

I had an awesome time. It's amazing to me how differently each person can approach his setup and his whole show. We can learn a lot from each other. I learned something at every house last night !

My goal with TASL is to try to extract these different ideas form everyone and get them documented. Having a solid base for TASL is going to drive it's success into the future. Eventually the group will be very large and we'll have solid consistent ways to bring in new members and make them quickly successful with their light shows. I've seen this with other clubs that I am in. The ones that set up processes and documentation continue to grow and catapult themselves into the future. This also sets the basis for other areas to clone the same process and expand.

I hope all you guys agree. We can use all the help we can get to make TASL and CC successful. Scott M and Voc have already signed up to help us with the 2011 Convention planning .. If any others want to donate some time, let me know.

I feel real bad that Al got sick. He's been the driving force behind organizing the tours and get togethers. So it was sad that he missed his own party ..
    Thanks,

    Denny Cole
