3 way splitter for power injection

Hi, I purchased strands of 12mm WS2811 12v Pixels 100 count 4" spacing from Holiday-Light-Express. I also purchased their T Type splitters.

I was working on injecting power, but I just realized after getting odd results and finally testing with my meter, that these T Types don't pass all the wires through.

I'm guessing these are 13.5 mm connectors , all I know is the Holiday Coro connectors don't fit with them.

The layout of these T Splitters are

V+ flows from the Bottom of the T to the Left side of the T

V- flows through ALL connectors Left, Right and Bottom.

Data flows from the Left and Right.



So two questions...

1. Does anyone know where I can find a style that matches this so that V+ and V- flow through the entire T and Data only flows from Left to Right?

2. Is something like this doesn't exit what is the best way to create my own waterproof connections? Do you guys solder and shrink wrap, or do you know of 3 way waterproof connectors?

Those Tees you have there have the V+ isolated meaning it breaks the connection. These are designed so you can have 2 power supplies feed the string without mixing V+ lines. The description says Ray Will connections so yes holiday Coro will not work and many other vendors will not work as well. They do make the kind of Tee you are looking for but you have to specify when you order. Check out Ken McMaster at wired watts and see what his are. I only needed a couple so I just made them from pigtails.

If you just want the waterproof pigtails then he has those as well if you want to stick with Ray connections. You can also check out Crockett fantasy of lights. Or Diyledexpress. Or Paul Zhang. Connections are like a relationship in that you need to pick one and go with it because they are not all compatible with each other.

You can also make your own with waterproof plugs made for marine applications like Delphi and some good copper wire. If you go that route it's cheaper to get 18awg 4 wire instead of 3 wire. Just don't use the 4th wire or make it an extra ground.

Thanks Eric for the info! I just ordered today from wiredwatts.com and they confirmed all the wiring is straight through.
