Default simple motor relay for lor and moving wire frames

3 of my wire frames move wave or other movements but i have had issues with motors burning out. or triacs blowing with the help of Don Williams i came up with this small and simple relay set up ( excuse my drawing) it works great -dsc00004-1-.jpg-dsc00003-2-.jpg-dsc00001-3-.jpg-motor-relay.jpg

    Mike -

Don says that works well, but I think he also said use two bulbs, in case one burns out, and check them periodically for just such an issue.

Jack as you can see the one i built is enclosed in a 6 inch case i drilled a small hole in the back side so i could see if the light is on when needed the enclosure is so small i think id have trouble with heat build up with 2 bulbs but it is something to think about.

Don is still using controllers there were beta models. I know the enclosures are small, and they're a great idea, to have a surge snubber like that. I just remember him saying that he still blew an occasional triac when the single bulb burned out. Apparently the inductive kick provided by the motor also takes its toll on the filaments.
