Default 16 Channel Flag on eBay - Great DIY Details

I was easily able to download the text description, videos and pictures from this guy's eBay auction. Check it out. You can watch his video inside the auction.

It's a great idea but all he is selling is plain white coroplast with holes in it. Since most of the work is up to the buyer .. so you are better off just using his specs and making any size you want. I will probably use this idea for a big flag for 2011, since this year's ideas are already running rampant. Check it out:

The seller is dmoore from Houston, TX on the DIYC board.

On his website, he sells this item for $ 24.75 plus shipping. He uses a CNC machine to drill the holes in the products he sells.

He also offers a 74.5" X 48" version of the flag for $ 55.75 which uses 2944 bulbs.

With both flags he includes 50+ "masking stars" for when you are painting the star field and also index marks for exact placement of the "masking stars". Not a bad deal since all the holes are already drilled and indexed for placing the masking.

I sure would hate to be trying to drill or punch that many holes.

He offers lots of different predilled coro products for the outdoor decorator.

When you think about it. His CNC service is worth the time savings. It would be a lot of time to measure, mark and punch all those holes.

I like the 6 footer. Maybe I will buy one for 2011 ... I only have 8 channels left that are unallocated for this year. I would love to add a multi-channel 6 foot flag. Since I have four 6 foot flags made of lights that are fixed (one channel each) .. a big multi on the top of the roof would be great. I also bought four of Darryl's 50" white stars to boost my American theme on the roof. I couldn't pass up $15 each including the bulbs.
