    Default Carl's Ice Pond <and questions>

Carl, I really enjoyed your Ice Pond presentation video that William posted yesterday. Very nice results from a simple design .. !

I have a few questions that were not clear from the presentation.

Were you using Blue Rope light or clear rope light around it ?
Was the plastic blue or clear, and how thick is it (in mils) ?
Were the twinkle lights blue or clear ?
    Thanks,

    Denny Cole

Everything was clear. Not sure what size the plastic was. I think he said it was some junk plastic but you can buy it at home improvement stores. It wasn't too thick.

I used his technique this past year. Didn't buy the cheapest plastic, but it was pretty thin. Put some older blue half-wave LED's that I had pulled from somewhere else (possible HD brand), and just spread them around and put the plastic on top. Used the yard staples like Carl suggested. It's looked good. Twinkling minis might have looked better, but it worked.

I use what they call Painter Plastic it's was either 1.5 mil or 2.0 mil as for lights I used white rope light to outline the pond the use white twinkle lights to fill in the center.

    Glad you like it.
