    Default Planned LED "star"

So, my next project is to build 4 "stars" similar to what Jack showed at the last TASL meeting.

    Here's a sketch:

I plan to use 8 of Frank's SuperStrips from DIYC to attach to each arm, so the star is 36" across and high.

I expect these will be bright, since the LED's used on the strips are the SuperFlux LEDs, and while most folks use them as wall washes, these will be facing directly at the street. I'm only using Warm White LEDs, although the strips can be used with RGB LEDs as well. Wanted to start small with only 8 channels per star. I'm planning to get 2 of the Ren24LV boards, which have 24 channels each and won't require extra SSR's to directly drive the LED strips. This should allow me to run at least 2 stars per board, with some channels left over for other stuff.

Interesting. If we have time next Saturday we can weld this too. It doesn't seem complicated. The SuperFlux LEDs could be a crowd pleaser. Vic was the gentleman with the star. Vic was quitting smoking. I wonder how he is doing? I got you a piece of steel.

Right, Vic was the man with the star. It's those drugs that the doctor has me on...makes me forget things.....

Vic is fine...I'm pleased to see someone using my star idea. I have been up to my butt in some remodeling projects on our home. Hardwood floors, painting and spring cleaning. When the work is done...the playing will begin, with full force might I add. lol.
