    Thanks Al,

My orginal plan was to use them on my roof, however, last spring when I was getting on the roof to clean the last winter leaves out of the gutters, I had a problem. I was scared to death. Heights have never bothered me, I was an avid skydiver, also owned my own airplane and loved to fly.

Tried again a few weeks later, same thing. Don't understand why. Anyway,
I scrapped the roof idea, and started thinking about the forest. I was going to do wireframes, but ...... Jack's price was right!

So if there's enough interest, maybe we can contact his supplier and have a bunch more made ? Since the design is already done to punch them out, seems to me this Jack guy wouldn't mind being a middle man (and a few $$ profit) or another small run. Also if he's loading them up with mini, maybe we do ours in LEDs .. or just take them without lights and customize ..
    Thanks,

Denny that is a good idea. We could buy a few hundred of them without any problem. If Jack returns my email I might pursue it.

John, is height the problem or the stupid ladder. I developed a late life height problem. I don't have a problem once on the roof it is the transitioning from the ladder that unnerves me. I bought a ultra-stable, fiberglass ladder that changed that for me. I was up on my motorhome the other day and had to call Deb to help me get down. It is the ladder not so much the height for me. It doesn't help that I fell last year from a cheap ladder that left resulted in me being severely injured for a couple months.

It actually seemed to be both. Transitioning from the ladder and while up there. My ladders are very high quality and stable. After I got down, I just figured it was "a message" that I should rethink my plans to do snowflakes on the roof. Afterall, the weather for set up and take down could be cold, wet and slippery. Besides, I'm not as young as I used to be! Find there are lots of things I used to be able to do that I can't do as well anymore.

I know a John Craig in Olney, IL. I quit skydiving in the late 70's, and sold my airplane in 1994.

Hooked a controller up tonight. I already see that I need to adjust the heights of a couple of the poles and might tinker with the timings a little bit.

Very nice affect John, maybe we will have some of the real stuff to go along with it this year.

Thanks Al. Those are the cheap Gemmy falling icicle things. About $5 per string, 8 icicles per string, 8 sequenched LEDs per icicle.

I'm thinking about digging out the old Light Flurries box, and see if it will reflect off the real trees in the background.

I was thinking the same thing with the light flurries, I am hoping to finish in time to add my unit for some in between songs snowing but I'm not sure I'll have time. One word of advise for you John, pick up a pin spot light, the ones used for disco balls and aim two lights at the unit at about 45 degrees apart. I found it further breaks up the points of light and adds an extra group of snowflakes. Check with Al, I heard he has several disco balls in use through out his house and he might have a spare pin spot you can borrow.
And on the 8th day, God created Christmas lights.
