Shipping for 50 ft is $8. I will need 35-40 feet. If people want to combine the order, I can find out if it will reduce the shipping cost.
    Eric,

I am interested in ordering some HDPE.

My thought was to try and find a local vendor that might stock it locally.

I will update this thread if I find it locally.

    Thanks!

So what I have decided to try for this year is to re-do my arches with pixels but wrapped just like I do for my LED ones that I have now and see what they look like. I like the look of the wrapped arches.

Do you have any closeup videos of wrapped RGBs in action ?

I am going to order my HDPE tubing if you want to add to my order. I am not sure if it will save on shipping to combine or not. I was told via email it is $8 to ship 50 ft roll to Apex, I'm hoping that was not a typo for $80. Sold in 5, 10, 25, 50 feet sections. Let me know soon if you want to combine.

Ok I know it's the 11 1/2 hour but who wants to help me make these bigger tube arches? I already had the smaller arches so I just need to convert them. Probably this weekend. I have the awesomely 3D printed bases, clips, and bungees but need to buy whatever else I would need. I've just been so busy this year I am way behind on my Christmas display.

Joe - text me when you plan to start. If available, I'd love to help. Getting experience building someone else's stuff will help me when I build my own some year!

I wish I could help but I may not even get all my stuff up this weekend. I am putting my arches out in the yard today. If you want to come look at them just stop by. If you copy mine and use my email notes it shouldn't take you that long. My strips didn't need power at both ends.

I bought the 2" clamps that were referenced in the Johnsons Family Lights YouTube tutorial but they appear to be too big for the pipe. I also bought 4 10' pieces of 1/2" conduit. We will be putting some stuff out today while it is nice. Not blow ups or the pixel tree but most of the rest of it. Plus probably working on the arches if I get the other stuff done first. I'll come by sometime and check yours out.
Scott I'll txt you if I get to a "build the arches" point - probably this afternoon. Or just stop over any time - we will be out setting up throughout the day.

#4 conduit hangers are what you need. I think they are 1.5 inches

ok - still a newbie relatively speaking. Did my first mega-tree last year that turned out great, much thanks to this community. Now getting ready to do arches this year. My original thought was to do 8 arches individually defined with 8 strings (25 pixels each), 8 cords going back to the E682/PS1. That was a concept that was easy for me to comprehend and sequence. However, I see several of the above posts discussing using 1 string to create two arches (reducing the number of cords/used channels in the E682 by half). I am intrigued by this design, but how does one define that in xlights? When I attempt to define two arches in xlights, it uses two strings as a default?

Thanks so much for your patience and hopefully my question makes sense.

I kept my arches separated and then made them into a group for sequencing. You could also do it as submodels which is a nice new feature. It doesn't matter though if they are 2 strings in the sequencer and connected in real life. You would just set the output on the controller for the channel numbers for the 2 arches for each output.
