I will leave the technical discussion of attenuators to the engineers in the group. I believe there is signal strength meter in the group that can be used to determine how much signal needs to be cut, then you just put the properly sized attenuator inline with your antennae. @kidcole? Basically I think the signal should not travel more than 500'.

I should have figured the switch to black was a bug, everything else was SO polished. Again, excellent show.

I am using SainSonic AX-05B. It does not have any option to regulate the broadcast distance.
Please, can you give me any advice what attenuator should I use to fix the issue?
    Thank you
Hi Petr .. Wow, that is quite a powerful transmitter for the money. I had a similar problem with my FM, and it was because I had my antenna on my roof. And I use a quarter wave antenna which is not small. So I put it on a microphone stand down on my porch and that helped keep the signal to about 1/4 mile. You can also get some reduction by lowering the signal strength of the audio going into the FM transmitter, which is best handled by a small audio mixer. The audio miser will also improve the impedance match going into your FM transmitter, in case you are driving it direct from your computer. FM transmitters can pick up a lot of distortion from the mismatched impedance from laptop computers.
    Thanks,

The true is that I have the antenna outside hanged on the wall. I might put it into my garage and hopefully it should reduce the distance.
FYI: I bought the transmitter on sale for 59 bugs. It was a bargain for the money which I could not resist. I was worried about the signal weakens too much. Now it bits me back. ;-)

Great to meet you tonight, Peter. Thanks for showing me around a bit. I paid attention to your broadcast. It's a little less distance tonight, a bit more than 1/4 mile I guess. I noticed some clipping distortion, too, though, so you might do well to turn down the input a bit (as Denny suggested).
