Al popped in while I was composing my reply, and while I was doing real work at my day job.

If I can get this worked out by convention, then we'll do a demo. Otherwise, we should get together and do the white paper and talk about it - either at a TASL meeting or at a coffee shop.

This is great stuff .. and worthy of documenting for our members to share. The White Paper will do it ! I understood the basics until Al and John replied to the same question with completely different information.

I think the most basic hybrid (LOR and DMX) is adding DMX controllers to LOR software with the iDMX.. So that would be the base case for documentation. It seems there's plenty to learn with this base case.

Then we can figure out which solutions flow out from there .. in a logical way, to create an outline and document them.

From my limited perspective, the next progression from LOR with the iDMX might be moving LSP software and using various DMX adapters on the PC to expand the DMX portion on a separate network from the LOR portion. With or without the iDMX ..

I have not observed anyone suggesting any software other than LOR and LSP. So the outline should cover each separately. I will be glad to help with the White Paper if I can ..
    Thanks,
