I think it was posted somewhere on here to be in the afternoon. Most of the race shops let their employees go home around noon on Friday, so a "behind the scenes tour" being after that, wouldn't interfer with their work.

That what Wayne did for us last year at Roush Racing.

http://www.greatwolf.com/concord/waterpark - fun place for the family; an alternative place to stay.

Charlotte IKEA store is not far down the street, either.

I think it was year before last. When Robin from Florida and Mary Jane from Maryland were there! MJ had a "little too much" in her Red Cup. It was kinda "early" in the morning, a few hours past midnight if I remember correctly.

That's why Robin slept through most of Saturdays presentations

Yeah baby. I remember now. Last year was really tame. Bring on the pole dancing.

    Hey John,
Deb, Walter, and I went to the firing range today. It is a local "police supply store". I wanted to teach Deb how to handle a shotgun (don't mess with Deb she learns quickly) and Walter was perusing the goods at the counter and found a pair of pink handcuffs in the "police" section. All of our local female cops have pink handcuffs. Anyway, I'm sure they will match his pink shorts nicely this year. So now Walter is going to present at the mini with:
"Programming While Wearing Pink Handcuffs". Or was it: "Are You Unable to Restrain Your Christmas Display Buying? Try Pink Handcuffs".

I will have to check out the hall of fame if I have enough time. Great Wolf Lodge is cool. As far as shopping goes Concord Mall and Garden Ridge have to be visited.

Also going on this weekend is the Food Lion AutoFair - Thursday, August 26 - Sunday, August 29, 2010 - at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The World's Largest Automotive Extravaganza returns to Charlotte Motor Speedway August 26-29, 2010. The Food Lion AutoFair annually attracts more than 100,000 visitors. It features more than 50 car clubs and more than 10,000 vendor spaces that offer a huge array of automotive parts and memorabilia.

More than 1,500 collectible vehicles of all makes and models will be available for sale in the car corral that rings the 1.5-mile superspeedway. The Food Lion AutoFair will also feature a collector car auction presented by Dealer Auctions, Inc.

For more information on the AACA/Hornet’s Nest Region visit their website.

One of the featured attractions this year is the world’s only collection of vintage carnival bumper cars licensed for the street. These will be displayed for the first time ever. All nine of the street legal bumper cars that will be on display have been transformed into mini hot rods with motorcycle engines, working headlights, turn signals and windshields.
