It's official there will be a tour of Michael Waltrip Racing the Friday before the Convention.

Sweet! I would have settled for Rousch again. Hopefully this time I will make it to DEI before they close and track down Hendricks too.

Not set in stone yet. So we are not announcing the date yet.

I am in charge of my 40th High School reunion.. It is on June 12th.... Is this a date I need to change so not to conflict with the mini....

Based on a conversation I had with Carl a few weeks ago, I don't think you don't have to worry about any conflicts.

I believe the time frame that is in discussion is NOT June, but later in the summer.

Annalisa,

We can go over to Stewart Haas Friday morning. There really isn't much to see there, since they get their cars and engines from Hendrix, though.

Last year I went to Gibbs, Earnhart-Gannais (DEI), Stewart Hass, and Hendrix before Wayne's tour of Roush.

We might also have time Friday morning to go to NASCAR's new Hall of Fame building, it was under construction last year when I drove by.

I also want to thank Liisa for setting this up.

Sounds like a great idea. How can I help at the Convention? I know I am new to the hobby, but I would like to jump in feet first. I have access to many American manufacturers of our kinds of toys. Thanks for the welcome and I look forward to getting to know all of you. I am in the military, so I have to plan carefully. Please give me as much advance notice on events as possible. Talk to ya'll later.

We are not race fans but took the race shop tour and we both really enjoyed the tour. Those of you that did not make it you missed a great tour.
