Helen and I will be there. We both drink red wine (Cabernet mostly) .. But lately I've been in the mood for a beer. My favorite is Killians Red. I like beer (a lot) but not the buzz, so I will only drink one.

My son is keeping track of my drinking this year because my family members said I did not drink a dozen beers (or wine) last year. I have refuted that and Bobby's been keeping count for me! If I have a beer Friday it will be my 12th drink of the year. Heck, at this rate I might make a case by Christmas if I toss in a couple "wild nights" (and have two beers) .. !
    Thanks,

What did we resolve about dinner for Friday night? Could somebody pick a place that accommodate us without having an reservation aneurysm? Or should we wait until Friday Morning to make a decision.

Denny and Mel, if we can't decide as a whole then the 3 of us and our spouses will make the decision. Is anybody else from Raleigh be in Mooresville at dinner time on Friday? If so PM me for my cell number.

I presume this would be after the Red Cup. So we can just pull together anyone who wants to join us for dinner .. The hotel can probably give us a range of possibilities (or if any of the local guys have favorites) .. I'm open ..

Is there a schedule of the times and places of what is planned for Friday and Saturday evening and nights?

Also the race shop tour one thread says 3PM and another says 2PM so what is the correct time?

This is our first Carolina convention so are there drinks, snacks or anything that we need to bring for extra activities?

No jokes please, just serious answers.

Rachel and I are really looking forward to this weekend.

Is there a schedule of the times and places of what is planned for Friday and Saturday evening and nights? Fridays Red Cup starts about 6 and ends when the Hotel staff gets tired of seeing John running around naked. As for any other activity Friday Night there is none scheduled right now. Saturday night people ussally go back to the host Hotel and Hang out some more.

Also the race shop tour one thread says 3PM and another says 2PM so what is the correct time? Race tour start a 3. But Lisa and her Husband will be there around 2:30 to greet everyone.

This is our first Carolina convention so are there drinks, snacks or anything that we need to bring for extra activities? Snacks and Drinks are profided but you are always welcome to bring a dessert if you wish.

No jokes please, just serious answers.

Rachel and I are really looking forward to this weekend.

    OK, a couple of questions:

For the Red Cup Social, what should we bring? And the social is at the host hotel, correct?

For what it's worth, one of Charity's favorite restaurants is Sonny's BBQ; there aren't any in the Triangle area, but one just down the road from the hotel where we are staying (not the host hotel.) They generally have picnic table type tables they can pull together for a group.

    Denny -

Killian's Red? Yeah. That or another type of red or amber. I'll probably have my 4th one this year there.....

Where is the Red Cup social going to be? The Host Hotel
    SpringHill Suites by Marriott
121 Gateway Boulevard, Mooresville, NC 28117
    (704) 658-0053 () – (704) 658-2317 (Fax)

What should we bring? Yourself and Charity

6 PM on the social, or what? John will have more details tonight but 6pm is about right.

    John -

I thought the NASCAR Hall of Fame was 3 PM, per Carl (going on memory, and I'm starting to have my share of senior moments) - and what is MWR?
Hall Of Fame is Midday and the Race shop Tour is at 3 @ Michael Waltrip Racing{MVR).
    Brad -

Sonny's BBQ would be great, we have not had Sonnys since we moved from Florida 6 years ago. Here is the address and map.

Brad you probably don't want to be there anyway, I think one of the hookers said she was your ex-wife. That could get a little wired.

That works for me. Sonny's Friday at what time? 6pm? or we can go watch Denny eat at 4pm.
