Smile More participation at the convention?

I think I mentioned something like this a few months ago, but I would like to see more participation from those attending.

My first idea was for everyone to make a power point presentation highlighting some of the more interesting parts of their display or what they are working on. Then it occurred to me, not everyone has a laptop to present their PPT with.

Then I thought about a kids science fair, where all the kids make some kind of display showing their projects.

It wouldn't have to be elaborate, just something simple to share.
    • scrapbook
    • photo book
    • show and tell items, like a controller or mini-tree
    • FM transmitters
    • notebooks. Some of you are really good at organizing notes.
    • I was actually thinking about putting together one of those poster boards with some photos and a small presentation that runs on my laptop.

We all have different interests and different areas of expertise. I thought this could be a way to share some knowledge with each other. It would also make the convention more inviting to those just getting started.

    Any thoughts?

    It's a good idea.

But, we would have to fit into the schedule somewhere.

If we're already doing a presentation we're excused from the arts and craft portion......right?
Demented? yes but in the best possible sense.

Yea, I was thinking the same thing. Just somewhere we can "stash" stuff and let people look at it on between sessions and during any free time. Not that I have anything to bring yet...

Exactly. We don't need a time slot. Just allow a couple extra minutes between sessions... Longer coffee breaks for those that need it.

Come on Kevin. As creative as you are... Surely you have something to bring to the show and tell, craft show.
