    John,
That weather map sure makes it easy to understand why the oil slick to moving directly at Louisiana right now...

Weather is supposed to be headed our way tomorrow, but it's fairly windy right now!

I like www.accuweather.com Not due to the graphics or the fancy US charts. In my case the "big picture" doesn't help me much. Accuweather.com has very nice hourly forecasting that includes wind speed. The Chapel Hill hourly tends to be really accurate for the lake (Jordan Lake). I check the wind forecast before I leave the dock, and it tells me when I can get back in. I can't get in the slip unless the wind is less than 5mph. I really don't like 4mph .. but I can get in with no issues at 3mph and below.
    Thanks,

Dang John. Did you get washed away? Nashville is a mess. I really feel for the people in the flood area. Walter and I spent time in New Orleans and Mississippi after Huricanne Katrina. Flooding leaves behind an ugliness long, long after the water leaves. It would amaze you the things we saw. I didn't sleep for a long time after coming home from those trips. If you or somebody you know needs help just ask.
