Looks like the storm passed just south of me. I was on the phone with my father-in-law, who lives in North East High Point, and then with William. Didn't see much here except for some heavy rain, lightning and thunder. Storm went near PTI Airport - they took everyone to the lower level. Storm is moving fast - like 40 MPH, so it passed quickly.

Al, don't think it's headed your way - it's moving mostly in the NE direction, so it will be in VA before it gets near you guys in Raleigh.

Not totally out of the woods yet - looks like another cell is trying to come up Business-85 from Lexington. So we'll see...

Mark, hopefully that second cell went by without a problem.

I know it was extremely close.

Everything here is fine. We had lots of rain, but no issues.

However, in North High Point, there were houses destroyed and trees down near Johnson Street. This was less than 5 miles from my in-laws. My father-in-law is remodeling a small house, broke his hip 3 weeks ago, and is just now getting back on his feet and able to drive again. They live near the mall, which appears to be just far enough away to be OK.

Scary stuff, but glad things have settled down.

There were mobile homes overturned north of Lexington. Some cells went thru Kannapolis, so hopefully nothing happened to Carl as well. Also hope none of his Easter display blew away...

Yes, We are ok.The tornado passed within a 1/4 mile of us. WOW! Thank God a neighbor called us just in time and we hunkered down. It was frightful. I thought the whole house was going to come apart. Fortunatly there was no major damage here, but just on the other side of a tree line that I can see from our front yard a barn was lifted off it's foundation and landed on the side of the road. I've never been that close to a tornado, serious stuff for sure.
