Default Winter Weather On The Way....

Winter weather is on the way for this weekend.

We're expecting 4-8 inches of snow in the mountains.

    It's picture time again!

Thank goodness snow is lighter then ICE!

4 plus inches will really look great with your display.

Just flurries forecast here for the weekend, (after another full day of rain on Friday, starting tonight) and of course I have to work! So much for good pictures with the flurries on my end.

We had about three inches of snow and another half-inch of ice in Mooresville, NC as of 9:00PM tonight and unfortunately it tore down our ski slope in the front yard. Guess our display is going to be done for 2009 -- not sure if we are going to be able to save it for this year or not. Have to re-evaluate it in the morning. Months of work gone in just seconds -- very sad night here.....

A light dusting here in the triangle sure makes the display looks nice. Too bad the rain will make it all be gone by morning.

It's not far away... 12 and counting.

    Drifts already 4 feet deep.

Took me 6 hours to get home today. More on that situation later.

We have about 12" of snow so far here in Pilot Mountain, NC. The snow is not the problem it is the gusts of wind that I do not like. I just went out and let all of my inflatables down. The wind had already pulled the tie downs out of the ground on one of my inflatable snow globes. Did get some nice pictures.

Our display has been on every night this season with visitors walking through every night. Neither the rain or snow has kept them away.

We had over 115 visitors walk through our display last night and sign our guestbook.

Last season we had over 500 visitors for the same night so the snow has slowed the amount of visitors for the display.

I hate that they are calling for rain Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
