    Default It's November 2018...

...Have you started putting up your display? I worked in our yard for a few hours and have at least 20 trees up and wired. I'm SO GLAD Joel found out about the chicken wire cause it was a breeze. Tomorrow we do a few more trees, then the Mega tree. We'll see how my knees hold up after that.

Started last night. Did my lower icicles, C9 verticals and garage door outline. Hoping to at least do garage peak icicles today. The high ladder stuff takes a lot more effort.

Change of plans today. I ended up getting a neighbor to hold my ladder and I did all my upper level peak icicles and C9. This is huge because it is the one stuff I need help to do. Now all I have to do on my roof is hang 2 pvc window frames which will take 5 min and then plug everything into the controllers. My goal this week is to have everything on my house done so I can then keep my feet on the ground. I don't mind ladders but many legs are exhausted from going up and down.

I used 1000's of those to attach my lights to pvc last year. Not UV coated so I was a little worried. So far I only had 1 break which is fine by me for how cheap these are. The one that broke was the 8" thin white type.

I think I used about 10,000 last year putting our lights on the chicken wire. Now I'm doing the patio poles and redid the mini trees, so we needed more lol

    Cool Re: It's November 2018...

Was troubleshooting a partially out string and came across this:

the light socket was completely missing! Glad I didn't touch it while up on the ladder and it was live!!

We also had some help in the yard today:

We’re up and running but the rain each weekend is making it hard for us to get that last 30% of stuff out and right.
