Best of luck to you and everyone else this weekend. Crazy to see the storm path move west again since it's moved East every day since last weekend.

    Mike,
Stay dry and hopefully your power and internet will stay up for awhile. We lived in Greenville, and dodged some storms a few years ago...

We rode out a bunch of hurricanes in Florida and the last one we were without power for two weeks. We hope everyone in the east is safe and does not have a lot of damage.

Mike, I hope all is well with you. Raleigh is supposed to be on the edge of this storm. It starts here in the morning and lasts all day but our part of the storm is nothing compared to yours. Geez, I hope you and Evan are going to be okay.

I hope it does not cause too much damage but I know first hand how much damage a large oak tree can cause. We moved to North Carolina from central Florida and went through 4 hurricanes the last year we were there. We had two large oakes go down in the front yard but were lucky they fell away from the house but we had neighbors that were not so lucky. Here in North Carolina we have removed all but one tree that is close to the house and I think we are going to take it down in the future.

That is exactly why when we built our house we cleared out all the trees on the lot. The lot was full of very large oak trees and I did not want something that large looming over the house. We have since planted 2 maple trees but they were set far enough away as to not be over the house and alot smaller than a oak. Mike be safe down there! And Evan if you are anywhere on here the same for you!

Yea, but can we see Willie live online somewhere? I bet his insights are better than those other guys out there!

I hope everyone came out safe.
All we got was rain and some wind. Nothing more than our normal summer weather during and afternoon thunderstorm. Our power was out overnight but that was because some idiot couldn't drive in the rain, nothing to do with the storm it's self.

I hear it wasn't too bad up North. My BIL is with the electric company and they were on call to head North but they didn't need them.

    Mike -

I assume that means all in your family are OK. What damage was done to the house, and is there anything we can do to help out?
