I'm glad someone has finally brought this up. We've been agonizing over this year's class rates. We're going to have to double the fees for all the informal meetings. So, starting next month rates are now going to be 2 cents per meeting. For the added expense, you can express your opinions as often as you like.

Billy, Brad shared an epiphany with us and it was thought provoking. I am going on record to say that I am not a Carolina fan--not even close. I went to NCSU (and UVA). However, thanks to NCSU's lack of a decent coach, we didn't even get close to any playoff anywhere. Next year or the year after should be better for NCSU now that Lowe is gone. But, I do admit that I picked Carolina over Marquette. Carolina showed them how to play basketball ACC style. It was a real struggle for me to decide whether Carolina or Marquette should lose, but Marquette decided that for me early enough. After watching Kentucky play, I would venture to say that Kentucky will not be a big threat to Carolina. My money is on Kansas stomping Carolina. My old army buddy is a Kansas fan, so I may pull for Kansas.

Brad, I know you were kidding but the rest of the group might not. The TASL Steering Committee is committed to making the 2011 convention as affordable as possible. Our treasurers (Vic and Mrs. Vic) are dedicated to keeping us on budget and controlling costs. I can't give an exact number for the convention just yet but you should be happy. Well everybody in all areas but one should be happy. We figure people with Chattanooga, TN addresses should pay $4999.00 for a ticket.

Oh my. I feel a little ill now.

Did you guys see Butler play yesterday? Wow. Their run reminds me of Jimmy V's 1983 Cinderella NCAA Championship run. I was new at NCSU and that was a really exciting time to be a part of the university. The Butler folks must be on cloud nine today. UCONN was amazing to watch last night too. UCONN will give Carolina trouble tonight. The cold weather gives me a good excuse to watch college basketball.

I see Al and I have something in common, not a Carolina fan.

And now I don't have to pull for any ACC team, since there isn't one in the final four....

It was kinda funny to read this thread this afternoon, when VCU had already eliminated Kansas, Butler took out Florida, and Carolina was going down to Kentucky...

I wouldn't mind seeing Butler going all the way...

Today was a day full of upsets. Geez. Kansas and Carolina? Let me go on record saying Kentucky clearly outplayed them, it was not pretty and it was stunning. Kansas losing was beyond stunning. Geez. I too would like to see Butler make it all the way. Without Butler I would quit watching.

My kid's brackets (first year they tried) fared better than mine... Sigh... I picked several upsets last year and there were few. I picked few upsets this year and there were many.

VCU has already won more games in the tourney than any other team in the four. They had to win the play-in game. Amazing stuff...

So who's going to be the new NCSU coach?

Rumor and Ch 11 said Sean Miller of Arizona, Rick Barnes of Texas, and Mark Turgeon of Texas A&M. When State played they ran hot and cold which screams lack of coaching.
