For those of us with no past, what does that mean? That if we work hard, we can turn lights into a full time job?

Chuck shoots he scores and the crowd goes wild.

We give away training at the the TASL meetings. Maybe we should charge for that and become Certified Partners. Not me though, it sounds little gay. What Would Chuck Do (WWCD)?

What does this have to do with Chuck?

The website is registered to Drew Hickman.

If I remember right, wasn't Drew one of the original founders of Animated Lighting ?

Actually the training is free. The fee is to rent the required customized hardhats.

John, you're right. Drew started Christmas Cave way before Animated Lighting.

I found a link in Favorites on an old computer a few months ago for Christmas Cave (of course it didn't work anymore)

Brad, I probably have some of those printouts around here somewhere also. (I'm a pack rat) It seems only us "OLD TIMERS" remember the Christmas Cave.

I lost one printout that I wish I could find. A poem (story) about the "Other Rudolph" I think was the title

Actually, Drew didn't start AL, but Christmas Cave and the Dasher line was "bought" by AL (that's Animated Lighting, not Al). Drew was some of the creative genius behind some of the work they did at Disney and elsewhere, but they finally parted ways after Drew spent too much time at work, and not enough at home. He had some young children, and wanted to spend some time with them.

He started Holiday Technologies quite a few years ago, and after trying to market his expertise with AL equipment, got burned and decided to switch over to LOR as a hardware platform. We all know it's not the hardware, but the programming of the lights that makes the magic.

Since Drew knows both hardware platforms, he's well positioned to train folks on how to use the stuff. Not for you or I who do this stuff for fun, but for those folks that buy or want to buy some more commercial light setup. Several folks across the country have a thriving commercial business, where they design, build, and implement displays for towns, cities, amusement parks, race tracks, etc.

I still have one of my Dasher controllers, I think, out in the shed.

New location - new display. Looking forward to 2015 season!
