I ordered mine on Sep. 12th, got my shipping invoice on Oct 13th. Got an email on Thursday of last week saying the packages should ship in 48 hours, but have yet to get any more information such as a tracking #. At least I know I'm not too far behind.

Gone through half a roll of wire already and having some issues with bent pins on female connectors... Joy!

They say that only a fool learns from his own mistakes, so test BEFORE you run your wire.

Rob, bent pens are common with SPT regardless. I've thought a couple times that rubbing the wire with beeswax would allow the cover to slide much easier and stop some of failures. Namely the end your fingers when making lots of connectors.

Another trick that I do is put the SPT wire on the connector pins (vampire pins) without the cover, then take a pair of large pliers and push the wire into the pins a little. This method allows the back cover to slide a little easier. I have a huge pair of Channellock pliers that I use for SPT cable. When pushing the wire directly onto the pins, the large pliers allow the wire to be pushed in straight with little lateral force.
